Goats milk is a super-ingredient of nature, packed full naturally occurring of vitamin A, B, C and E.

When it comes to soap making, many conventional soaps are made using water. By substituting water for goats milk, you create a beauty product rich in vitamins and nutrients that is extremely beneficial for our skin.

You may have heard that goats milk is much-loved by people with eczema, psoriasis and other similar skin conditions, and that is thanks to the soothing properties and skin-calming results achieved by goats milk soap with irritated skin.

So what is it about goat milk that makes it such a super-ingredient?

Vitamins

Goat milk contains a range of vitamins, including vitamin B, C and E – and is particularly high in naturally-occurring vitamin A. Vitamin A is currently having quite a moment – and with good reason! You may be familiar with vitamin A as the key ingredient of retinol and retinoid creams and serums, which are being hailed as a true wonder-product for the skin. The body uses vitamin A to repair damaged skin tissue and maintain healthy skin. Many clinical studies have shown that creams and soaps made with vitamin A help to control acne, reduce lines and wrinkles, and provide some relief from skin conditions like psoriasis and eczema.

Goat milk is rich in the vitamins thiamine and Vitamin B6 – which promote healthy skin growth. It also contains niacin, which recent studies have shown assists in protecting your skin from sun damage.

Alpha Hydroxy Acids

Alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs), including lactic acid, help remove dead skin cells from your skin’s surface. Goat milk is naturally high in AHAs, making it a wonderful gentle exfoliant. This natural and gentle exfoliation encourages the younger, new skin cells to the surface of your skin, helping you maintain a healthy complexion.

Regular removal of dead skin cells is a key factor in tackling irritated or skin or recurring skin issues, which is what makes the naturally-occurring AHAs found in goats milk such a super-ingredient.
